Graduation!
In May 2025, I graduated from Syracuse University summa cum laude with a BFA in Musical Theatre! I was also awarded two Department of Drama awards - the Marcia Mohr Award for Outstanding Student in Musical Theatre, and the Arthur Storch Award for Artistic Growth. I am so grateful for my time at Syracuse and proud to be forever orange!
Tepper Semester
I spent my final semester of college studying in NYC as a part of Syracuse University’s Tepper Semester program for Drama students. I was so lucky to have the opportunity to adjust to city life, learn from incredible working professionals, and see so much great theatre! Looking forward to seeing what life in NYC will bring post-grad!
Lewis Hecker 2025 Drama Showcase
On March 25, I performed in Syracuse University’s live senior showcase at Theatre 555 in NYC. Additionally, a virtual showcase is available to view now!
Songs for the Queer Heart Cabaret
On April 2, I made my Green Room 42 debut in Songs for the Queer Heart, singing “Unruly Heart” from The Prom! As a queer artist, this project meant a lot to me and I am so grateful to have been a part of it!

SUMMER 2024

SPRING 2024
New Works New Voices
During my junior year, I was cast in Syracuse University’s New Works New Voices, a program in which writers and composers are able to workshop their musicals with SU Drama students, culminating in a staged reading. I played the role of Bus in Lighthouse, which I later got to reprise at NAMT. It was so incredibly inspiring to be able to work on new material and to have up and coming musical theatre writers in the room with us! Working on Lighthouse allowed me to learn so much about the process of developing new work, as well as learn new things about my own artistry. NWNV was easily one of the greatest highlights of my time at Syracuse!

FALL 2023
Shakespeare’s Globe
In the fall semester of my junior year, I studied abroad in London, where I trained in the higher education program at Shakespeare’s Globe. During my time in London, I took a variety of classes focusing on voice/verse, movement, and text work; I was also lucky to be able to see a wide variety of theatre all over the London area.
